Lindsay Skvarek is a Knoxville sculptor and interdisciplinary artist creating work in ceramics, metal, wood, and fibers, as well as performance and video. Drawing on her lived experience as a trans woman, she creates brutally honest and raw work exploring dysphoria, survival, masochism, and the mental and physical experiences of transitioning.
Originally from Michigan, Skvarek earned a BFA in studio art and a BA in art history from Wayne State University in Detroit. She is currently an MFA candidate at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
