Call for Grant Applications

SoKno Sculpt sculpture grants help Old Sevier residents commission and install an original sculpture on their property. Eligible residents may apply for a $1,000 matching grant toward the cost of an installation.

Application Requirements

Please provide:

  1. A photo of the proposed installation site.
  2. A concept sketch or digital rendering.
  3. A project proposal including a price quote, proposed timeline, and footing details.

Guidelines:

1. Grant seekers must be residents of the Old Sevier neighborhood, and the installation address must also be in South Knoxville.

2. Submissions must be archival-quality (durable) artworks designed to enrich the community for generations.

3. Each artist’s submission must include an artist bio (approximately 100 words). Include a short bio and address if the artist is not featured in our gallery. 
The artist must reside in Knoxville or the surrounding communities.

4. Applications must include a photo of the proposed site and a concept sketch or digital rendering. The location must be visible to the public from the street.

5. An artist proposal must include a price quote, a proposed timeline, and footing details. The accepted proposal will receive a $1,000 grant. The property owner must match it with a minimum of $1,000.

6. Once installed, the sculpture becomes part of the property and may not be resold or relocated to another neighborhood.
