Knoxville Area Sculpture Grant Opportunities

SoKno Sculpt, a nonprofit public art organization founded by the Old Sevier Community Group (OSCG), works with South Knoxville residents and businesses to develop public art projects and pursue grant funding for permanent sculpture installations in the Old Sevier District.

Funding for sculpture installations is pursued through public and private funding opportunities as they become available. SoKno Sculpt works with applicants to develop eligible projects and seek support from community partners, donors, grant-making organizations, and other funding sources.

South Knoxville Sculpture Installation Grant Guidelines:

1. Applicants must be residents of South Knoxville, and the proposed sculpture installation must be located within the Old Sevier District.

2. Proposed sculptures must be archival-quality and designed for long-term outdoor installation.

3. If the sculptor is not featured in the SoKno Sculpt gallery, include a brief artist biography and contact information.

4. Applications must include a photograph of the proposed installation site along with a concept sketch or digital rendering of the sculpture. The installation must be visible to the public from the street.

5. Include a project budget or price quote, a proposed installation timeline, and details about the sculpture’s footing or foundation.

6. Once installed, the sculpture becomes part of the property and may not be resold or relocated to another neighborhood.
