Great news, neighbors! Old Sevier Community Group is excited to share that Old Sevier Market (OSM) — a new community grocery and the only full-time market in Old Sevier — is opening at 906 Sevier Ave. (same building as Redbud Kitchen, Fly By Night, and several local shops).

To kick things off, OSM is hosting a neighbor meetup: “Ask, Eat, and Drink” on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 3–5 pm. This is a casual chance to meet the team, ask questions, and share what you want to see on the shelves.

About Old Sevier Market
OSM is led by Chris Morton (Alliance Brewing Company, South Coast Pizza) with support from roughly 30 local partners. Inspired by a Trader Joe’s-style approach, the market plans a curated selection across 11 aisles, prioritizing healthier options at everyday prices — fewer brands, easier choices. There will be 14 reserved parking spots in the shared lot at 906 Sevier Ave.
Guided by the mission “Procure. Curate. Create.”, OSM aims to be more than a grocery store. Plans include a patio, bike rack, and a dog-friendly area behind the building near the train tracks — a true “jumping-off point” for exploring Sevier Avenue.
Why this matters for Old Sevier
For years, neighbors have asked for a walkable grocery option that reflects the character of South Knoxville. OSM brings that vision to life: locally rooted ownership, a thoughtful product mix, and a place to connect before heading down the avenue.
